Ke Kea means "The Cross". This silver filigree pendant came my way on a bolo tie. Upon researching the design image, it could be Ethiopian, or perhaps South American, or even Irish. I found similar images replicating ancient cross patterns. The interlocking elements convey a message of everlasting life and love. Regardless of the origin, it received the Hawaiian word for cross as its name. Only fitting, as it was found here in Hawaii and is now on a piece of the island.
Alexander Palm sheath base with an encaustic wax finish with purple pigment added. The over-sized chain (with silver lobster clasp) balances the size of this one of a kind statement piece. An extender chain could easily be added upon request. The encaustic wax finish can be buffed to a shine or left to a matte finish.
