Copper Passage Wall Vessel
This wall vessel is made from a single giant Royal Palm Sheath with a metallic copper wash. Copper wire wrapped Fuchsite (iridescent blue/green) stones, with Raffia Palm Stitching at the bottom. A hand rubbed polyurethane finish completes the piece.
Installation is a snap, with a small loop on the back that easily hangs from a small nail. They are extremely lightweight and a wonderful way to expand an area with high ceilings, or a stairwell.
Wall vessels can be combined for a powerful grouping. Mix and match different pieces for a unique grouping that really makes a statement on your wall. Collectors have found that these organic 3D vessels really compliment their 2D art neighbors by making them pop a bit more. Whether used singly or in a group, wall pieces are perfect for high ceilings, or stairwells, and with the addition of a few dried branches can really draw the eye upward.
These wall vessels are called Passages because with the addition of dried branches they emulate tree trunks with their branches high in the sky. Shelley likes to think they are reminding us to be centered, by sending our roots down into the ground and sending our good vibes out to the world.
About Fuchsite: Often called the fairy stone, it reminds us we are always connected to our guardian angels. The sparkling energy of the Fuchsite crystal infuses the heart chakra with healing vibrations that promote peaceful relaxation and creative, positive thoughts. Fuchsite crystal properties also serve as a reminder that every moment of our life is an opportunity to choose happiness, which is always the wisest choice.
Like all of Shelley's creations, this is a one of a kind piece that cannot be duplicated; it is literally a piece of Hawaiʻi Island. Each sheath is sustainably harvested from natural fallen leaves from beautiful, giant palm trees (about 10 different varieties). A wonderful way to remember your island experience or bring the warmth of the tropics into everyday life. #takehawaiihome
