Created from a giant Royal Palm sheath that has been embellished with a copper metallic acrylic for an illuminating effect and brightness. Hand marbled paper trims the top and bottom, the blossoms are made from Peacock Eye and Sword Feathers. The base of the flowers are hand shaped pieces of palm sheath that have been embellished with variegated gold leaf (check out the close-up).
This is a statement piece that really stands out with appropriate lighting. Perfect for an alcove or corner that needs to be brought to life.
Like all of Shelley's creations, this is a one of a kind piece that cannot be duplicated; it is literally a piece of Hawaiʻi Island. Each sheath is sustainably harvested from natural fallen leaves from beautiful, giant palm trees (about 10 different varieties).
